How do I book a review?

By simply clicking one of the yellow “Book a Review” icons, you will be taken to a preferences page where you can select your review package, choose a preferred photographer or theme, and choose a time. Its that easy. Our customer services team will then be in touch with you to confirm the details.

How do I make payment for a review?

We accept payment through Paypal.

Can I book a review as a gift for someone?

Yes, reviews can be booked as gifts and, like gift certificates, used at any time. Please email our customer service team if you are interested in booking a review as a gift.

What if I want to have a follow up review with the same photographer?

We encourage you to select the Mentorship Package if you are interested in having multiple reviews with the same photographer. The benefit of having multiple reviews is that you can employ the tips and recommendations from your first session. The photographer can then assess your progress from the same body of work and make further recommendations to bring you to the next ability level. If you have booked a Single Review and want to upgrade to the Mentorship Package, simply write to our customer review team.

How do I upload my portfolio?

We will provide you with an online cloud folder in which to upload your photographs. The photographer will then have them on their desktop when they conduct your review.

Do I need Skype or other special software?

Our video software is “Go to Training,” a tried and tested software that easily links people in different locations. Our administrator will provide you with everything you need to get started before the review. During the review, you will be able to converse “live” with the photographer and to see your own photographs on their desktop.

What if my photographer of choice is not available?

Every effort will be made to book your first choice photographer for the review. However, all of our photographers are active photographers and are often on assignments for weeks at a time. In this situation, we will do our best to find another photographer in the same thematic area in which you are interested, or to book your review when the photographer of choice returns. Either way, our team will be in direct contact with you throughout.

How does the review work?

Reviews are conducted live on video software customized to allow you to see the photographer’s desktop, as well as the photographer and yourself. While each photographer has their own style for reviewing photographs, you can expect a two- step process. First, the photographer will go through your portfolio photograph by photograph, providing feedback that will increase your awareness of what to look for in your own photographs. Second, there will be a summary taking all of this feedback into account, which will focus on overall areas to work on. This will be practical advice that will help you become a better photographer.

How will I benefit from the review?

Working with a top tier photographer will allow you to understand how to critique your own photographs. You will receive practical insights and tips on improving problem areas, which can be implemented right away.

What if there is a technology problem and review can’t take place?

In the rare event that there are technological obstacles that make the review impossible to conduct, our team will reschedule the session. We will also make sure your system is working in advance of the next review to ensure it goes smoothly.

What if I am not happy with my review?

All reviews are recorded. In the rare event you are not happy with your review, our team will review the recording to best understand the nature of your complaint. Action will be based on the outcome. Every effort will be made toward providing you with the highest quality service and the most professional reviews possible.

What if I need to reschedule my review?

We discourage any rescheduling, however, we do understand that it may need to happen. If the review needs to be rescheduled due to a conflict with The Image Review software or with the reviewing photographer’s schedule then we will happily reschedule your review. If you have a personal conflict and need to reschedule, we will allow this once only. If you need to reschedule due to a personal conflict more than once then a rescheduling fee will need to be paid.
