Carlton Ward Jr

Carlton Ward Jr is a National Geographic Explorer and Photographer focused on inspiring the protection land and water, especially in his home state of Florida. He founded the Florida Wildlife Corridor project in 2010 and has since trekked 2,000 miles during two expeditions supported by National Geographic Society to advocate for the Corridor’s protection.

In 2015, he launched the Path of the Panther project, an impact campaign with National Geographic and partners that helped inspire the Florida Wildlife Corridor Act in 2021 and nearly $2 billion in new commitments to land protection. His new book Path of the Panther was published by National Geographic Books in May, and documentary film by the same title is now streaming on Disney+.
