Joshua White

Joshua White uses sculpture, photography, and mixed media to investigate memory, mortality, ecology, and sustainability. His innate curiosity and love of science inform his diverse body of work, and he draws inspiration as much from literature and poetry as from physics and neuroscience.

His images have been shown nationally and his series A Photographic Survey of the American Yard was featured in the September 2015 issue of National Geographic. White received his MFA from Arizona State University, and is an Assistant Professor of Studio Art at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.
