2015- Book on Caucasus won both Book Prizes ( Book of the Year, Self-published Book of the Year ) at the Fotofestival  International Festival of Photography in Lodz, Poland
2015- Ukrainian project shortlisted for Leica Oskar Barnack Award
2014- Winner of The Aftermath Project – War is only Half of the story Grant for her Ukraine work
2014- Book on Caucasus took a second place (first finalist) at Picture of the Year/ Publication of the Year.

Justyna Mielnikiewicz is an award winning photographer from Poland, based in Tbilisi , Georgia since 2003. Her works have been published internationally by Wall Street Journal , National Geographic , Newsweek , Le Monde , Stern, The New York Times – among others. She is a winner of World Press Photo, Canon Female Photojournalist Prize , Aftermath Project Grant and Eugene Smith Fund in 2016 .

Most important part of her work is devoted to personal , long term projects published as books. In 2014 her first Book was released  : “ Woman with a Monkey- Caucasus in Short Notes and Photographs “. In 2019 the author’s  second book : “ Ukraine Runs Through it  “ was shortlisted among 20 best books by Paris Photo and Aperture.  Contributor to “Relentless Courage: Ukraine and the World at War” , book documenting the Ukraine war , published in 2022 in USA . Author of GOGO magazine , book project dedicated to woman in Soviet Union and countries which replaced it after it fell apart, published in 2022.
