Kai is prizewinner in the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition 2010 and 2012. He also was  Finnish Wildlife photographer of 2011 and overall Winner 2012 IFWPY contest.

The House in the Woods book was published in 2010. Kai lives in Salo, Finland.
