One helluva fine photographer, frequently mistaken for a meatloaf...”  (Apologies to B. Kliban)

I still love exploring the world around me, with a camera in hand.  I work for a few magazines, currently doing a big review of my work of the last 40+ years, and enjoying more than I can say, gazing at old contact sheets.

I have worked for NGM and Time & Life since the 1970s.  In the past couple of years, I have published twobooks:  “Soul Rebel – An Intimate Portrait of Bob Marley,” and “44 Days: Iran and the Remaking of the World”

I co-founded Contact Press Images (www.contactpressimages.com) in 1976, and we remain one of the few independent photojournalism agencies.    The new world of video mixing with photography creates a lot of new chances for story telling.  Stay tuned….
